Design Innovation Competition
Business design and innovation through design is a way to answer the emerging need of innovation, coming from companies (most of them non-design driven), in order to face the current changes and the future transformations of today’s business world. Companies and institutions seeking for a change can choose from a wide range of methodologies to generate innovation: enhancement, acquisition, line extension, open, close, platform, frugal, parasitic, experiential. Business design is one of them aiming at creating unique ideas in order to innovate and evolve companies’ identity and product offer, with regard to market, business, material and production constraints.
Business design is informal and driven by passion and does not adapt to the evolution of socio-cultural models (user centered) but aimes at generating new meanings. This approach focuses on problem setting instead of problem solving, as the quintessential design atout.
The Master in Business Design launches the competition “Design Innovation” addressed to new graduates and young professionals coming from economics, human science and design-related faculties.
The project consists on the analysis of the innovative content of a company, a product, or a brand. Candidates must select a company located in their home country that they consider innovative, define its context of innovation, and explain the criteria that motivated the choice.
Projects will be evaluated and selected by the Faculty of the Masters in Business Design, Domus Academy.
- One scholarship covering 70% of the total tuition fee of the Master Program
- One scholarship covering 50% of the total tuition fee of the Master Program
- One scholarship covering 30% of the total tuition fee of the Master Program
